Operation update no.1

Theo tolerated procedure well. It's too early to say what effect on lungs and liver the operation has yet but it's a big hurdle crossed.

Keep fighting and being strong Theo, you have so many people praying and sending you all their love and positive vibes.

Willow, I can hear the absolute desperation and fear in your posts, I can't even begin to think how you are feeling and coping with this, but you are obviously doing the only thing you can right now, taking each day as it comes. With every day you ARE being brave and as strong as you can be, even if you don't feel it. Theo will KNOW, in the way that all babies do, that his mummy is there and is doing all she can. It is such a cliche, but he really is in the best place and it certainly sounds like you are getting excellent care.

I hope with all my heart that you get every day, every smile, Everything with Theo.
You are all in my thoughts, but from one mummy to another, I am sending you much love.

Hey Willow

I read your blog with Vic earlier. I'm glad you can talk so openly about your feelings. You may be doing so already, but I suggest you speak to your designated nurse each day about this.

They will be the best advocate for you and Theo to try to make sure that all tests and examinations are tied together as much as possible, so that theo can rest for as long as possible in between, and you he and Colin can spend as much undisturbed time together as possible.

Sometimes doctors do things because they can, not because they need to. Sometimes tests can wait a little longer. They may be doing the best they can already though.

I hope this helps a tiny bit.

Thinking of you all.
