Next steps!

Theo is getting up and down and moving round!!

Gastrostomy news - Mr Nour has agreed to perform surgery provided Theo's heart is ok and that there is an anaesthetist willing to take on a risk like Theo. This is scheduled for Nov/Dec, all being well.

A gastrostomy is a portal made through the skin of the abdomen, directly through into the stomach. A balloon catheter keeps it in place and it cannot come out. It is much safer and more comfortable than the NG (Naso Gastric) tube.

He may also have something called a Nissens fundoplication. This is where the neck of the stomach is changed so that you cannot vomit at all. There are obvious downsides to this but overall it may be worth it.
