Cakes make the day!

I want to say a ginormous thankyou to the ladies at Playtime whose culinary skills and lust for yummy confectionary have raised a lot of money. I mean, a LOT. Enough to help out for a good few weeks. The biggest thank you has to go to Lita who cooked up the idea in the first place - let it be known never underestimate the power of a cake bake sale!!

It has been a busy week or so for our family. Theo and Mummy have had a tummy bug (apparently its been all over the ward, that's good to know). Fortunately for me, I've thrown it off but as usual for Theo its a bit more worrying.

There are also indications that he has a chest infection so we are quite concerned for him. Obviously the relevant tests are being done and the doctors are reacting appropriately but I can't help but panic that it could be uncontrollable.

Our meeting with Theo's consultant on Friday, gave us real food for thought. Theo is not likely to be home before March next year and that is the best case scenario. When he comes home it will be with the highest levels of assistance available. He will have disability living allowance, respiratory nurses, a ventilator etc. We will have people coming in and out of our home assessing things and assisting life.

I will post more pictures soon, I promise. Just a bit rushed today. Willow x
